Sheryl Thorne, Head Coach
Coach Thorne is the Family & Consumer Sciences teacher at Centaurus High School. She has taught FACS and Social Studies and is going into her seventh year as a Warrior. Coach Thorne was on her high school varsity cheer team for two years. She has over 5 years head coaching experience and is overjoyed to be returning to the coaching staff. When not teaching or coaching, she enjoys traveling, reading, singing, cheering on the LSU Tigers and the Denver Nuggets. But mainly Coach Thorne loves spending time with her husband of 27 years and their three beautiful children.
Lucy Nash, Head Coach
Coach Nash is the registrar at Centaurus High School. She has been at CHS for 10 years and in BVSD for 14 years. Was on the high school cheer and poms team all through high school. Coach Nash helped start a rec cheerleading program back in 2001 until 2011 when she took over a high school team. During 2003 Coach Nash also coached a high school poms team taking them to the state highest placement in school history. She has over 20 years coaching experience and is extremely excited to now be coaching at Centaurus.
When not working or coaching, she enjoys spending time with her husband of 30 yrs. doing some traveling, doing crafts and attending concerts. She values the time she gets to spend with her 3 adult children and her 3 grandsons, 2 granddaughters that call her Gigi.
